A Community of 12,500 Members

Published by on

The Sr Grace Library in Chibolele has reached another remarkable milestone: more than 12,500 people are now registered as members.

But the number itself tells only part of the story.

What is most encouraging is seeing the library become part of everyday life in Chipulukusu. It is a place where young children are discovering books, students are spending time studying, and people of all ages are coming through the doors to read, learn and connect.

When the library was first planned, we knew there was a need for access to books and educational resources. What we could not have predicted was just how quickly the community would embrace it.

The growth to more than 12,500 members shows that the Sr Grace Public Library is no longer simply a new project. It has become an established community resource, used and valued by thousands of people.

Behind every membership is an individual who now has access to a welcoming place to read, study and explore new opportunities. That is the real significance of this milestone.

As the library continues to grow, our focus is on making sure it develops alongside the community it serves and remains a place that people can rely on for many years to come.

We are very proud of what has been achieved in Chipulukusu and grateful to everyone who continues to be part of the Sr Grace Library story.

12,500 members, thousands of individual stories, and a community library that continues to grow.
